Barbon entries now on-line – and others too
The famous Barbon Hillclimb, promoted by the Westmorland Club returns to action on July 23 following last year’s incredibly successful event where the conditions were ideal with some ireally fast times recorded up the 813 metre drive to Barbon Manor which features two bends and a hairpin.
Entries for the event are now available via the ACU on-line entry system for all hillclimb licence holders with classes for machines from 100cc up to 1400cc together with a sidecar two track and a sidecar/trike three track category. Entries are open now until the closing date of July 1.
Spectators are also welcomed at this meeting with excellent parking and the opportunity to freely walk through the paddock where the specialised hillclimb machines can be viewed. Viewing of the racing is excellent together with split second timing and a knowledgeable commentary throughout the day.
Entries are also available on line for May 1 when the Lakes GTRC have a club trial at Holmescales near Crooklands, then on May 8, the day following the Scottish, Barrow have a multiclass trial at Lowick and then a week later Westmorland are again in action with the Hutchinson Trial which includes a round of the Northern Centre Youth Championship which will be held on the club’s own land at Lindale but which will also include the wood at the top of the land which provides for a greater variety of sections. All these trials can be entered through the ACU on line system.
