Bootle’s toughie

The Bootle Club’s multi-class trial in the middle of March proved to a be a toughie with the entry of just 26 riders faced with a testing four laps of ten sections at the Fell Green venue.

Six Manx riders boosted the very small local entry with the father and son duo of Juan and Tom Knight winning the hard course which attracted just three riders, Connor Anderson being the third placed.

Ethan King won the Green course from James Hodkinson whilst the best of the Clubman riders was Mark Quinn in the Over 40 class from Chris le Moignan topping the Under 40 class. Section five was undoubtedly the most difficult section with only one rider, Peter Huddleston on the Myers Tribsa managing to foot his way through the hazard for the loss of 12 marks. Everybody else lost 13 up to the maximum of 20.
