Carl mugs Roundthwaite win
Roundthwaite was the venue for the Lakes GTRC trial on Father’s Day where a disappointingly small entry of 30 riders tackled five laps of the ten sections in very warm and muggy conditions.
Carl Batty was on top form, losing just two marks to win the clubman class by a single dab from Simon Brice whilst of the three riders who rode the slightly harder course, Ethan Johnson was comfortably ahead of the other two, Matthew Edmondson and Karl Ratcliffe whose scores were more than double those of Johnson.
Mark Quinn was third in the clubman class and Ethan’s father Dan fourth whilst over the easier clubman course Andrew Emmerson won by a single mark from youth B rider Toby Jackson.
