Clarification on the new licence fees
Following National Council on Saturday there is clarification over ACU trials registrations. The licence will be £35 for all adult riders . Licences for Trial GB riders only will be £50. (Insurers see Trial GB as a greater risk). The £12 increase over the current licence price provides personal accident insurance for all adults up to a maximum claim of £2000 with only 72 hours hospitalisation required before claiming. Previously 14 days was required before a claim could be considered. Youth licence costs have yet to be confirmed but likely to be slightly reduced with no personal accident cover available for youths.
The insurance fee for competitions, previously £6.10 per rider has been reduced to £4.80, effective from Jan 1. The ACU levy and legal fund levy remain at current prices of £2.50 and 50p.
