Double for Drachenbergs
The Drachenbergs, father Aran and son Alfie were both their respective class winners at the Barrow Club’ s Founder Members trial at Stribers, Haverthwaite on Sunday, February 22.
Despite a disappointing entry of just 20 riders, the organisers had gone out of their way to provide a great trial with 3 laps of 14 sections; the first 5 being ridden twice on the hillside before moving onto the rocky fell for the remaining 9 sections.
Jack Dixon had his new Scorpa out to finish runner up to young Alfie on the Green course with Peter Huddlestone best over the clubman course on the Triumph Tigress engined pre 65 machine, the creation of Jonty Myers who was one of the day’s few observers.
