Yet again, Cumberland County attracted a healthy entry for their New Year’s Day Trial at Nord Vue where Stuart Gaskell went clean to win the Adult Clubman course from Scottish rider Ross McCullough on a TLR Honda with local Carlisle rider Richard Fisher in third.
The entry was split almost 50/50 with those who didn’t ride the main, slightly harder course instead tackled an easier version of four laps of 10 sections over which Paul Corbishly was the winner, losing just two marks from Chris Washington and Stephen Turnbull who both lost 4 with the decision for runner up down to the most cleans tie-breaker.
