Mike masters muriel’s trial
Mike Instance found the form of which he is capable to win the Barrow Club’s Muriel Wilkinson trial at Everard Lodge on a fine summer Sunday over 4 laps of ten sections spread between the woods and open heathland.
Five marks behind was Owen Gilchrist and then Jamie Jackson took third place on a score of nine marks more than the runner-up.
Classed as a Green route rather than a hard route, recent SSDT riders Sam Metcalfe, Ben Croasdale and Mark Wilkinson all rode the course, but were perhaps somewhat tired after their Scottish exertions.
Karl Ratcliffe won the Clubman course on the loss of a single mark from Gary Kitchen on 3 and Martin Jackson on 4 whilst Jonathan Cooper and Duncan Dunbar who shared the score of five lost, it was Cooper who got the verdict on most cleans.
An easy Black route was incorporated which over which Ann Titley finished ahead of the ever-improving youngster Elliott Cooper.
