New venue a test for Lakes entry
Despite clashing with the Classic Manx Two Day Trial in the Isle of Man, the Lakes GTRC trial at a new piece of land at Staveley, attracted a good entry of 52 riders where once again Tom Swindlehurst was in a class of his own, winning the hard course with 30 marks in hand over Sam Metcalfe.
Aaron Athersmkith on five was half the score Scott Cunningham in the clubman class, Scott having one of his best rides to daye as did George Leach in third.
Ten sections was the format as usual for local club trials with four laps required from the riders. Josh Gott was best over the easy clubman course which attracted 16 riders, though some found the trial quite diffiocult and did not complete the event.
