Passing of Lyndis Quinn
The Northern Centre has lost a stalwart of the sport with the passing of Lyndis Quinn on Wednesday, November 12th, just four days after she attended the Centre’s AGM on Remembrance Sunday when her husband Keith stood down as the Centre’s President following 24 years in the position.
Lyndis was nearly always with Keith, come rain or shine, and for many years was a frequent observer at trials until poor health following major brain surgery more than 12 years ago, left her with declining eyesight which meant she could not carry on.
Lyndis, who was 78 had not been too well for a few days, but even so, her passing was unexpected and certainly a shock to her family. She leaves her husband Keith, three sons, Paul, Glen and Mark as well as numerous grandchildren.
The picture already on this website of Lyndis and Keith was taken by Eric Kitchen at the Centre AGM, just four days before her passing, which proved to be their last meeting together.
