Sign up for the Make-a-Wish charity trial

Back in May at the Pre 65 Scottish and the Scottish Six Days Trial Nick Shield and Michael Irving rode as a  team for the Make -a-Wish charity which was the desired organisation that Nick’s late wife Diane wanted them to support, knowing full well that she wouldn’t be able to see them take part.

That ride raise a fantastic amount, very nearly double the £5000 they were aiming for and now, to help the children’s charity  even more, Nick and his good friend Andrew Bingley are planning to run a charity trial on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29  at Tow Tops, High Newton, a venue that hasn’t been used for a trial for several years, but which is a great location with amazing views across Morecambe Bay.

The Barrow Club have agreed to host the event and ALL proceeds after the normal organisational costs will go to the charity. It will be a Clubman and easy clubman, two route course and entries will be available either on-line through the ACU system or on the day. Obviously, it’s better if the entries are on line, then the course planners can get some idea of who is riding and set the sections accordingly, but recognising that not everybody can plan in advance, day entries will be available. The  on line entry fee will be £18 and the on the day entry fee will be £20, and with a decent entry, Make-a-Wish should benefit considerably from this event.

Entries will be available very soon, so put MONDAY, August 29 in your schedules for a good trial set out by two excellent course plotters.
