Three for February to date
The opening three trials for February are forthcoming from this weekend, February 1 with the Barrow Club’s Frank Jackson trial which is another round of the Northern Centre Championship.
The venue is once again the Old Railway Line, Torver but please note the start time will be 10am as last year the trial finished a bit close to dusk, so the club are trying to avoid a repeat this year. Entries are taken at the start for the usual three routes, Hard, Green and Clubman. This is a road based trial and you will need a fuel can to go in the fuel trailer
A week later, February 8 it’s the turn of the Bassenthwaite Club for the Robin Hood Trial at Glenridding for another Centre Championship round, a closed circuit event with three or four laps of the course depending upon the weather conditions on the day. Once agaain the courses are the same and entries are taken at the start which will be 10.30am
The another week later, on Februaary 15, Cumberland County MCC have the Aughertree Trial, a Frank Smith Series Round 1
Aughertree is near near Uldale off the B5299 where What three words are: responds.exist.functions. Again start is at 10.30 amf or four laps of 10 or 12 sections.
There will be two Courses: Clubman and Easy (easy course suitable for beginners)
