Will Brockbank wins Pre 65 Scottish

Kendal motor mechanic and Westmorland club member Will Brockbank won the 2026 Scottish Pre 65 trial at Kinlochleven with no loss of marks, going clean through all 60 sections of the two day trial. He tied on zero with Tom Sagar and was awarded the decision by riding the largest capacity machine, Brockbank being on a 500 Carl Winstanley Ariel whilst Sagar rode a bored out  400 Triumph twin.

Brockbank’s win was his third major win in Scotland having won last year’s Leven Valley two day trial also based from Kinlochleven and latterly the Alba Two Day Trial just a month ago at Achallader. The Cumbrian is certainly taking over the mantle long held by Gary Macdonald  who lost just a single mark early on the morning of day two to finish fourth.

It was a successful two days for Northern Centre regular riders with Nick Shield winning the Over 60 award on 8 marks in 20th place whilst the finishing places claimed by riders who take part in Cumbrian events were Lewis Johnson 25th on 10; Erik Buckley 71st on 41; Nathan Britton 80th,also on 41; Chris Myers 112th on 77, Ronnie Looker 115th on 80 from his first ride in the trial; Michael Batty 133rd on 93; whilst Peter Huddleston unfortunately retired whilst having a very good ride with a broken clutch.
