A month of action planned

With the Turner Trial having been cancelled, there is no event report this week, however, there’s plenty of action forthcoming, so here’s a brief rundown covering the next few weeks.

First up is the Lakes GTRC trial at Holmscales  near Crooklands, on January 14 which is a very sensible clubman event for all classes and grades of rider over a normal clubman course and an easy clubman course.

Then on January 21 the Bootle Club have the Fell Green trial, at Fell Green, Bootle and is a round of the Northern Centre Championship with a Hard, Green and Clubman course offering.

A week later (28th) Westmorland MC also have a Northern Centre Championship round, the Lonsdale Trial which is a road-based trial and which starts from the club’s own land at Firbank, flagged from junction 37 of the M6.

Into February now and the first event of that month will be the Barrow Club’s Frank Jackson Trial at the Old Railway Line, Torver, again another Northern Centre Championship round – so that’s three rounds over three consecutive weeks.

For the Lakes, Bootle and Barrow events, entries are at the start on the day but the Lonsdale is on-line through the ACU Sport 80 system, however, should it not be possible. for a rider to be able to confirm his entry for this trial prior to the closing date of the Friday evening, a morning of the trial entry can be accepted for a small surcharge.

And for those planning to enter the Milnthorpe Trial on March 3 which  a S3 Parts series championship round, on-line entries should be available sometime this week (Jan 8 onwards).
