Bit of a round up

Bit of a round up

First of all, congratulations to Richard Gaskell with a totally stunning ride to win the Over 40 class at the Gerald Simpson Trial on May 19, which was the most recent round of the S3 Parts Championship. Richard lost just 4 marks, the lowest score of any rider in any class.

Just in case riders are unaware, on Sunday May 26 the Bootle Club have the Fell Green Trial which was postponed back in January due to inclement weather conditions. This is a Centre Championship round and of course is at Fell Green Bootle where entries on the day are being accepted.

Then on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27 the Lakes GTRC have their Centre Championship trial at Redscar, Underbarrow where entries will also be taken on the day. Both trials have 10.30 starts so make this a double header weekend whilst the weather for trialing is at its best.

Into the first couple of weekends in June now. Bootle again have a trial, this time a multi class event at Fell Green on June 2 which is also a youth centre championship round. Having two trials on consecutive weekends wasn’t ideal but having had to cancel the Fell Green back in January, it was difficult to find a clear date to rearrange the trial, hence two trials in seven days for Bootle. Further into June now for the 9th of the month and it’s Barrow at The Old Railway Line for the Henry Trial, a “named” trial and a good event at this popular location. Usual start time of 10.30 with entries at the start.
