Clawthorpe capers

Tony Haddow was the rider who proved to be the best performer during the evening trial at Clawthorpe hosted by the Sedbergh Club who have a busy schedule of events this summer.

Losing just 6 marks over the limestone outcrops above Burton in Kendal, his nearest challenger was fellow over 60 rider Peter Clibburn with third place in the Clubman class going to young Will Baron.

However, they were all eclipsed by two pre 65 style twin shock riders, Carl Batty and John Gornall who went clean and a dab respectively on a fine night which attracted just 18 riders.

Two competitors took to the easy course, Peter and Nathan Ellis losing 10 and 38 respectively.
