Four up for December

Four up for December

Well, well, December is here already – it seems as if the year has passed more quickly than ever.

The months has four trials planned with the first being the Bassenthwaaite Club’s Stanley Tallontire trial on December 7 which is traditionally held adjacent to the minor road  between Mungrisdale and Caldbeck.  This is always a good trial using a mixture of very sensible stream sections and also some shaley banksides in the old mine workings in the second half of the lap. Entries are taken before the 10.30am start.

Cumberland County follow on a week later with their Greenhead Trial which has a postcode of CA7 8HD on the 14th of the month which is a trial that has to be entered in advaance through the ACU Sport 80 system before Friday 12th of the month. It’s open to all adults and Youth A/B, exactly the same classes as Bassenthwaite allow a week earlier.

Bootle SC have their Christmas Fun Trial on December 21 at Fell Green, again all classes with a 10..30 start and entries on the day. There is no social gathering this year after the event because the club haven’t had sufficient trials to generate an awards afternoon.

And finally for December, on Boxing Day, the Barrow Club have their regular December 26th trial at The Old Railway Line, Torver for four laps of this excellent venue with entries taken at the start and a 10.30 start time.

So there’s plenty of action to be taken in, let us just hope the weather in compliant enough to allow all four events to happen.
