Here’s the first of 3 evening rounds

The first round of the Westmorland Club’s three round Wednesday evening series takes place on June 18 at Lamb Howe, flagged from the Gilpin Bridge to Winster road in the Lythe Valley.

Lamb Howe was used for the same opening round last year and provided a great evening trial on a area of land rarely used – in fact it hasn’t been used for a trial since last year and will again feature a normal clubman route and an easy course for those who prefer their trials to be a bit less testing.

Entries will be taken before the 6.30pm start with a reduced fee for the youths. Two things to mention here, parking at Lamb Howe is very restricted, so please park tidily and leave room for others who may well arrive a bit later and bring insect repellant as the ferns are large at this time of year and buzzy things can be very annoying on a warm evening.

Once again, the evening series will be a mini championship for the various classes and those who ride all three rounds will be looked upon favourably when it comes to sorting out prizes come the end of the series. Loads of riders received something for their efforts last year so plan to ride in all three rounds which are on July 16 and August13 as well as the first on June 18.
