Looking at the next 3 weekends
Sorry this is all a bit later than normal, but here goes. Lakes have a trial this Sunday, June 15 at Borrowbeck which is off the A6 above Kendal Caravans and where there is good parking for any number of vehicles. The usual format will be on offer, that’s four laps of 10 sections for all classes of adults and Youth A/B/C. Start time is 10.30 am and entries are taken at the start.
We guess that a few will be travelling over to Inch Perfect to take a look at the first round of the new style British Championship series which is all classes, adults, women and youth A/B over both days, June 14/15 with all classes riding each day. It will be interesting to see how that all works out!
As already mentioned, on Wednesday evening, June 18 Westmorland have the first of their evening trials at Lamb Howe, start time 6.30pm and entries taken at the start. A reminder that parking is very tight at this location so leave room for others to get in.
Then on Saturday, June 21 Westmorland are in action again with their Barbon Hill Climb, a timed tarmac event for all classes of bike – both two and three wheels and if you are quick, you can still get an entry as there is also a off-road tyre class, trials, scramble, enduro tyres can be used in this category.
That same weekend, June 21/22, Cumberland County MCC have their annual two day Centenary trial at New Biggin and though entries are no longer available, it’s a good guess that the club will be looking for observers on bikes, both powered and e-bikes as there are some great trails to ride on to get to the further most sections.
Please note that Bootle have cancelled their planned trial on June 29 and the dates calendar has a misprint and Sedbergh do not have a trial planned for the 29th either.
