Ross stays feet up
Cumberland County can always manage to attract a healthy entry to their trials and that was again the case for the club’s opening 2024 round of the Frank Smith Easy series held at Aughertree near Uldale.
Nearly 50 riders enjoyed the trial on a February day. that was comparatively mild and with several of the Northern Centre’s expert riders preferring to tackle a North Western AMCA event at Silverdale, it allowed the clubman regulars a clear day to have some easy rides.
Ross McCulloch was the top rider over the clubman route with a clean sheet – always a good achievement – with David Maxwell having the best ride on the Clubman Easy route with the loss of 5 marks.
