Montesa for Joel’s first SSDT
Joel Gowan will be enjoying his first Scottish Six Days Trial this year courtesy of Honda and the TMX Magazine. The offer of a bike has come about following Editor Anthony Suttons desire to provide some specialised coverage for the magazine, just as happened in the past when John Dickinson and Mike Rapley were the leading trials journalists on the paper.
Back in 2022 Joel came as close as is possible to win the Pre 65 Scottish Two Days with second place to Gary Macdonald, but the Six Days will be his first time in the main trial. The Honda/Montesa, a 301RR, had its first outing with Joel at the helm at the Robin Hood Trial where Joel finished sixth over the hard course.
