Sedbergh kick off Wednesday trials
There were several clean sheets at the opening Wednesday evening series of trials held in the Northern Centre with Sedbergh MC making good use of the dry conditions at Holmscales for their first evening venture in their short existence.
Aden Jackson, Neil Crayston and Peter Blowers all stayed feet up over the Clubman course with Joel Hazlett next on one whilst it was Michael Irving, fresh for his eight days of hard riding in Scotland who lost three to take the overall Hard course victory from Carl Batty and Burt Crayston.
The scores on the dead easy course varied from 3 by William Budden to 123 by George Dixon, a D class competitor which might seem high but the lad was out there doing his best and can only improve with age, growth and experience. Bassenthwaite are the next club to have an evening trial on June 15 (new date) at Glenridding, a popular venue where it is hoped the conditions will be drier than they were back in February.
