Zeke Myers trial is one to do
There are still three more rounds of the Northern Centre Trials Championship before the 2025/26 series comes to an end in October, with the first of the final three being the Barrow Club’s Zeke Myers Trial on August 9, starting from the old Land Rover garage at Torver.
Riding on what is known as Coniston Common, overlooking Coniston water is a rare privilege that requires Lake District National Park planning permission (which the club obviously have) with the trial usually being three laps of the course amounting to a total of around 40+ sections.
Unfortunately the trial clashes with a S3 Championship round which will take a few potential riders away, but even so, this is an excellent alternative and one the club hopes will attract a decent entry.
The Myers family are the organisers of the trial in honour of their late relative, with Chris, Mike, Sam and David plotting what is always a good and very sensible trial. As always with the Barrow Club, entries are taken on the day and please note that parking is a bit restrictive so park tidily or better still, team up with a pal to travel in just one vehicle. Start time is 10.30am.
