All ready for the Mike Hodgson

Judging by the pictures appearing on Facebook, posted by Robin Oliphant, preparations are almost complete for the Cumberland County Club’s Mike Hodgson Two Day Trial at Gillside Farm, Glenridding on September 13/14.

Restricted to riders on twinshock and air-cooled mono machines, this trial has just about attracted a full house entry to the restricted list and promises to be an excellent trial at a great trials venue, deep in the Cumbrian hills below the awsome mountains of Sheffield Pike, Stang and Glenridding Common.

The venue lends itself to provide excellent viewing for spectators unafraid to enjoy the walk along the length of the river valley and with a Saturday start time of 1pm and a Sunday start time of 10am, there’s plenty to see as on both days the sections will be different.

Continuing into the remainder of September, Lakes GTRC have a trial on Sunday, 21st at Firbank, which is Westmorland club’s land above Sedbergh, then on Sunday 28th it’s the Barrow Club’s Revenge Trial, the final round of the Centre Championship, which will be in the Torver area, but uncertain which location will be used. Both these trials will be taking entries on the day.
