Diane’s trial needs YOU
Bank Holiday Monday is the day when all trials riders within a sensible distance of High Newton, between Lindale and Newby Bridge, should be out to take part in and support the Barrow Club’s Diane Shield Memorial Trial, a great trial for the charity “Make -a-wish Foundation” which was Diane’s favourite good cause and one she always wished others to support as well.
Her husband, together with other friends will be organising not only the trial at 10.30 at Tow Tops, High Newton on Monday, August 25, but also a major raffle with a load of excellent prizes to raise much needed funds for the charity.
As for the trial, it will be either three or four laps over up to 15 sections – depends on the number of available observers – and over the past few weekends, Nick has been out plotting loads of new sections at this hill top venue that overlooks the superb vista of Morecambe Bay. Last year the trial attracted a really good entry of 70 plus riders and here’s hoping that even more attend this year for this charity trial. So bring some cash to buy some raffle tickets – even bring some prizes if you can, and turn up on Monday morning.
