Four go feet up
Clean sheets were the order of the day at Brownrigg Fell where the Cumberland County club ran the Dixie Dee Trial on the third Sunday of October.
Using two routes through the sections, 43 riders enjoyed a fairly easy day’s sport with Stuart Gaskell, James Hodgson and Nick Shield all riding the main clubman course, completed the day without losing any marks, so shared the class win, whilst on the easier version of the trial just David Maxwell stayed feet up.
Four clean sheets doesn’t mean the trial was easy for everyone as very competent riders managed to lose scores that they may well have been satisfied with, indeed a few riders were simply delighted to complete the trial, so their day could quite likely have been a greater personal success than it would have been to the four riders who remained feet up.
