Holmes Trial brings season to a close
With the John Holmes Trial on Saturday, October 24, the Westmorland Club come to the end of their 2026 events with the trial held at Lindale on the club’s own land with a start time of 1.30pm
As is usually the case, there will be two routes, Clubman Standard and Clubman Easy with the 10 sections ridden four times during the afternoon. Entries will be taken at the start and there’s classes for all adults and Youth A/B.
John Holmes was an enthusiast of the pre 65 and twinshock scene in trials and Westmorland are hoping that riders who own a twinshock or Pre 65 bike will ride these rather than a modern bike, but if a modern machine is all that they own, then please ride that . The sections will be suitable for twinshocks.
