Daily videos of the SSDT from Phil.
The bulk of this posting was uploaded to this site some three weeks ago, but since then things have been happening!!
Together with Phil Haygarth who has the You Tube channel “2wheels-Off-road” where he posts short videos of trials that he has attended, Phil and Mike Rapley have just put out a 34 minute video to preview the forthcoming Scottish Six Days Trial, which should give a flavour of the event, particularly to those who may not have been to the trial previously.View it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdyyXwlPSBM
In addition, Phil and Mike are planning to record two live podcasts during the trial on the Tuesday and Thursday evenings of the trial at 7pm, which of course can be viewed almost immediately following the live broadcast. In addition Phil will be posting daily videos of the event on You Tube.
Of course at this stage it’s impossible to say what the content will be as that will come from what has happened through the week, but daily videos of the event, freely available on You Tube will be a big bonus for trials fans everywhere.

The finalised entry list for the forthcoming Scottish Six Days Trial was published late last week and is available for all to see from the trial website ssdt.org.
Perusing through the list of 288 names, it looks as if there are 17 riders from the Northern Centre (or at least, riders who regularly ride in Cumbrian trials), who this website (northerncentreacu.co.uk) will be following when the trial starts on May 5. With apologies for anybody that has been missed, the 17 are: 45 Steve Stamper, 47 Drew Morten, 89 Sam Metcalfe, 90 Tom Swindlehurst, 91 Joe Hiley, 104 Rupert Tatham, 109 Patrick Wardle, 133 Cameron Brice, 134 Jack Dixon, 136 Stephen Dixon, 138 James Johnson, 140 John Holland, 142 Nigel Birkett (riding his 52nd SSDT!!), 144 Richard Gaskell, 177 Will Brockbank, 258 Mark Wilkinson, 260 Ben Croasdale.
Last year this website provided a brief daily update as to what happened as we saw it, and though by no means were we able to cover all the news and happenings we were able to provide a bit of flavour of the event and which we will attempt to do again – technology permitting as there were a few snags last year. In fact, those daily updates are still available by flicking back through 9 or 10 computer screen pages dated to the first posting on April 30. Once there you can click forward or backwards to the set of postings from the trial. (I’ve just had a quick read of several of them, not having read them since they were written last year, and they are quite informative, even if I say so myself!!)
So please support this website and it’s information from the Northern Centre, now the only way to keep in touch with what’s happening.
