Here’s what’s on for June

June is almost on us so here’s a quick resume of what is on for the next few weekends. And being the summer, there’s also a couple of mid-week events.

Bootle SC at Fell Green have a multi class trial on June 2 which is also a round of the Northern Centre Youth Championship for all classes, then on June 9 Barrow have the Henry Trial at The Old Railway Line, Torver. This is a club trial for all grades of rider at this popular venue.

Then on Wednesday evening, June 12 Bassenthwaite have the first of their mid-week trials which we think will be at Glenridding – but please check as  we can’t be certain at the moment.. Lakes GTRC have a multi-class trial on June 16 and on the same Sunday, East Cumbria Motorcross Club have an adult meeting at Whittas Park, Bassenthwaite.

Westmorland join the mid-week trial promotions with an all classes trial at Lamb Howe in the Lythe Valley which will be flagged from the nearest junction to the Damson Dene Hotel. This will be a round of the club’s 2024 trials championship, then just three days later, the Barbon Hill Climb is scheduled which is of course an ACU tarmac hill climb for just about any suitable machine except 4 cylinder bikes over 750cc.

According to the calendar, there’s two more trials for the month with Cumberland County’s Centenary Two Day Trial on June 22 and 23 at Newbiggin for which entries MUST be made in advance through the Sport 80 system, then finally on June 30, it’s the Sedbergh Club with a multi class trial.

Further details about venues etc will likely be available closer to the events.

Please note that as  your correspondent on here will be at the TT until Thursday, June 6, there will be no more updates on this site until after that date.
