Our lads challenge the Mintex

Three northern centre riders took on the Richmond Motor clubs Mintex time and observation trial yesterday, Jack Dixon coming home in an excellent eighth place, Connor Anderson a very respectable 25th and Lewis Gaskell completing the course in 5 hours and 37 minutes, unfortunately 7 minutes out of time.
Held over parts of the classic Scott Trial route, the Mintex is a time and observation trial exclusively for youth riders and not unexpectedly it was Trial 3 World Champion George Hemingway who proved the winner with a unbeatable combination of fastest time of the day with the best observation score of exactly 3 hours and just 12 marks lost through the 60 sections plotted around the near 50 mile course.
There were 53 confirmed finishers in the event and within time from the 57 riders who completed the course, the time limit being 2.5 hours over the fastest time, as per the adult Scott Trial format due in a month’s time.
