Rain halts Cumberland’s Memorial Trial
The Cumberland County Club have informed us that it’s with regret they’ve taken the decision to cancel this Sunday’s Memorial trial, scheduled for November 19 at Roughton Gill. The ground conditions are saturated, it having rained heavily for the past 3 days and with more forecast. As most folks will be aware, the venue is in the National park and the club are expected to cancel events in very wet conditions to lesson the impact on the land. As a club they simply can’t risk upsetting local landowners and the National park and jeopardise future permissions.
