Wet Westmorland has a hiccup
Results for the Westmorland MC multi class trial at High Bracken Fold Farm on Easter Monday are now available from the Results link on the home page of this site.
Due to circumstances, these results whilst final, may well be considered different to how riders perceive their results to be.
The wet weather has made the results sheets difficult to read in many situations, indeed the results from section 9 have not been listed, the sheet was totally unreadable. Normally, the club uses the special results sheets that are manufactured by Mike Rapley, but supplies of the special paper used for these appears to be no longer available, and the club took the chance of using standard card results sheets. His printer is unable to obtain this paper and searches to find a replacement supplier has proven to be impossible, unless perhaps somebody in the printing industry knows of a supplier.
Therefore, many of the scores have been guessed, but generally will be in the favour of the rider.
The club thanks riders and observers for attending this trial on an inclement day and trust that the event was enjoyed, if difficult and possibly with dubious results. Perhaps, a good time to appreciate that these events do still exist, despite the occasional hiccup on the day.
