Cumberland County MCC returned to Brownrigg Fell on Sunday, October 16 having had to postpone their trial at the venue earlier in the year due to the fire risk at the time.
However, at this time of year the venue is fine for good club trials which was reflected in a decent entry of 54 riders over a standard clubman course and an easy clubman course.
There was no beating David Braithwaite on the main route for he lost just one mark aboard his 300 Montesa, with another four stroke rider, Simon Brice taking his 300 Beta into the runner up spot a further five marks behind. Stephen Murphy finished third on 7 whilst in the Easy Clubman class Alex Luhrs, Tony Johnson and John Davies were the top three on scores of 5, 8 and 17 respectively.
