Winning by Wardle
Torrential rain and gale force winds made conditions at Firbank almost unmanageable for the Lakes Grass Track Club where 25 riders tackled the muddy hillsides but avoided the flooded stream after the club had been forced to move from their planned venue to the Westmorland Club’s land.
Patrick Wardle won the main class but the results make it unclear who won the easier routes due to the use of initials and nicknames.
